What cards should I try to get while they're cheap and will hopefully shoot up when Born of the Gods comes out? Since I don't have much money to spend on cards, I try to get cards before they become expensive, and then when they increase, I trade them for what I really need. So far I hear good things about Selesnya cards, but that's about it.

Didn't you just ask this question yesterday?
Also, it would be better to just save for the cards you actually need instead of pouring time and money into a low-stakes specing game.

Underworld Cerberus seems to me easily breakable, but no one's playing him yet.

I would advise against posting multiple times, however I am currently picking up Selesnya stuff as well as Reaper of the Wilds because I already have my deck fleshed out, though I don't have a lot of money, so now I am just speculating on stuff with Christmas money and hoping it doesn't bite me in the ass in January haha

i read an article that rares are never ever going to reach the same prices they have in the past. theres apparantly going to be 4 theros thought seizes (based on speculation about player growth using statements WotC has made) to every old thought seize. The only cards that will really have chances of increasing in value are mythic rares that are much harder to flood the market with.
That being said - if you're looking to pick legacy cards up at their cheapest prices, get them right before / as they rotate out of standard. On the flip side if you intend to play them in standard, wait until they are at a price you are happy with, everything will typically be going down in price unless it suddenly becomes flavour of the month

If anybody knew, for sure, which cards are currently cheap but will go up in value, why the hell would they give that information away for free to 'some dude' just because you asked for it? If you don't know enough about the cards, and the current state of the meta to make educated investments all on your own, you shouldn't be speculating.

Uuuh... Buy Snapcaster Mage , I guess?
I'm shocked that thing is still between 20 and 30 dollar. I expected 50 after rotation.

Shocklands are likely not gonna be this cheap for a long time. Stock up.
