Gold Bordered Wastelands?

I recently purchased a collection of cards, and littered amongst all the junk commons were some gold bordered world championship cards. I know these cards are not tournament legal, but do they have any monetary value at all? The most notable cards were a playset of Wasteland and a couple Rishadan Port
But they do have real value, gold bordered cards can still sell for a decent fraction of their legal counterparts

I saw a playset of Rishadan Port in cardmarket for 9 euros (10 dollars) and a playset of Wastelands for about 16 euros (18 dollars)

Surprisingly they have some monetary value, though not nearly as much as the tournament legal versions of course. The 'real' Wasteland is worth ~40 on cardmarket, the WCD versions (there are several WCDs using them) are worth ~4. Not too bad for something that is nothing but a good looking proxy. WCD version of Gaea's Cradle is even worth 20+, that's quite ridiculous imo.

Seems like the Euro sign doesn't show up on this site - I meant 40 Euros, 4 Euros and 20+ Euros.

You can paint the borders black and treat it like an alter though make sure nobody thinks its real.

Thanks all for the replies. The value is kind of what I expected them to be at. I would imagine they are not going to be an easy sell, so they will probably be sitting in my binder for a while waiting for a legacy player who is after some proxies.

They're about $5 each according to ebay. If you manage to get a gold bordered Gaea's Cradle it's about $30 and Survival of the Fittest is about $7.

I have a ton of gold border cards as I use them as proxies. I have one cradle but I want it in EVERY green EDH deck so I use gold borders as proxies. Same is true for cards like Wasteland and FoW. I run FoW in three EDH decks but only own one.
An employee at my lgs threw a bunch of gold bordered Survival of the Fittest in the 10 cent box and me and a buddy split them between us to use in our green decks (as I own two non proxy versions already that we can use if needed). He quickly found out he made a (small) mistake.
So yeah, definitely love gold border cards.

I'm afraid they are fairly cheap compared to the tournament legal versions
