i have yet to post anything like this on these forums, i have made a good amount of money buying and selling magic cards the last few years, and wanted to give a bit of insight on a card i have been hoarding the past few months. See the Unwritten, most players will trade u them for less than there value and when it came out, it was really cheap and still is, and can be had for a budget price. with zendikar being the next set, i would imagine that we will see some eldrazi. i see really good things for this card in the future and if your able to pick a few up i would recommend doing so asap. i have picked a bunch up for around 2 dollars sometimes less when trading for them. i have already doubled that and hope to see another spike in the coming months. well good luck and i hope some of u will get a few and watch them grow.

Does it really take that much effort to spell correctly man...

This makes a lot of sense to me. I had better find mine and put them in sleeves just in case we get some new Eldrazi.

I've hoarded a couple copies, but don't expect the Eldrazi of Battle for Zendikar to be as ridiculous as the ones from original Zendikar. They already said that they never plan on reprinting Annihilator on new cards.

lemmingllama I know, it's so sad!!! Annihilator was what made the Eldrazi Eldrazi...

Well hopefully they're on the same power level (or higher) than the current dragons.

Well, Ulamog is supposed to still be on Zendikar. So we should get at least one creature that is massive and awesome and can't be killed by Ugin.

Collected Company is so much better than See the Unwritten. 1, It costs 2 less mana. 2, It doesn't need Ferocious to get 2 creatures. 3, You want to be filling your deck with 1, 2, and 3 drops rather than a whole bunch of creatures that it would be worth paying for. 4, It is an instant so those creatures basically have haste.

Eh if your talking regular beat em up games of magic I would agree. However there is something special with See the Unwritten.

T8+ delve Tasigur, cast See the Unwritten, get Huge Eldrazi sounds pretty profitable to me. So what are we doing prior to this? We're filtering and using control. Plenty of cards like Anticipate to make sure we don't draw the big guys. Also helping out here would be Jace, the Living Guildpact. Better to discard a giant fatty than draw it and have a dead card.

These decks are very boring of course until something big happens but some players would rather live on the edge every moment because they know that when they make their play it'll be huge!

The issue with Collected Company is it only shines in decks filled with 3 or less CMC creatures, and very, very minimal non creature spells. If all you've got is 16 or less creatures Collected Company might as well say "Put one of your creatures that costs 4 into play at instant speed instead of paying it's mana cost". Sure you'll get lucky sometimes but again you need a LOT of 3 drops to really be consistent.

@omnipotato there meant for different decks, i like Collected Company more myself since i play modern foremost. but in a standard fatty deck that probably be popular 6 months from now your going to be trying to cast a giant turn 4 or 5 with written.

Something to keep in mind, all the old Eldrazi had the "when you cast" clause on the card. Meaning Cheating it into play reduces its effectiveness. With Annihilator it was ok to not cast them since they still beat face like none other. Without it though it may not make sense...

But they also may not have the "when you cast" clause anymore either. Its hard to say.

just thought i would bumb this now that the card is at 8 bucks might be time to sell now. u could hold and hope it a huge part of a winning deck, but if it is not, your out of luck and it will drop soon.
