Any speculation on the price of Hero's Downfall post-rotation? was thinking of buying a few for a standard deck, but not sure if it'll be worth it in a few months.

One or lower. It's a slightly better Murder, and that's a bit over 50 cents.

Murder is a common and this is a rare. It's also slightly better than murder. I could see it going for $1-$2. It's not played in modern or legacy but in EDH it is playable and strictly better than some alternatives. It is also not crazily available, due to being rare.

Dreadbore is a similar comparison too. A buck or so, it's too expensive to do much beyond edh and they already have lots of options

That's what I thought, just wasn't sure if planeswalker removal was a thing in other formats. I think I'll just get them though, best case it helps win a few FNM's and pays for itself in prize packs, worst case it's a couple hours of wasted work. Thanks for your help everyone.

if they start making more 4 mana planeswalkers that are powerful enough to see play in modern then there's a chance Hero's Downfall could start seeing play as a 1 or 2 of in the format but that's really asking a lot and probably the only way it'll see play in modern. It has it's uses in EDH as spot removal is relevant and dealing with walkers is too and being a rare will help keep it out of the .50 cent bin. It'll probably be in $1-2 range as most people said.

The card sees some play in modern. Last deck I came across that played one on me was Esper Control.
