How much time do we have until shocks spike?

All the shock lands are still pretty cheap. Steam Vents is the most expensive one, sitting at 13.82 on tcgplayer, 14.29 on SCG. I feel like there is a spike coming soon. Its getting to the point where they're bought out in a lot of game stores, and its just bound to happen eventually.
So Im wondering what we have for time. Or if Im just crazy and they're in a solid place right now value wise. What do you guys think?
They will probably rise a bit, but I can't see them hitting the price the old ones were at.

He is very wrong , shocks will go up either when people start referring to the set they were printed in as an "older" , which will make shocks harder to obtain or when Zendikar Fetches get reprinted , which people are say is going to happen in Battle Over Zendikar , but being devil's advocate , it's possible they may not do it cause of the fact of having 10 fetches in standard , along with the "Delve" mechanic.

Not for years. So many were opened. They will rise but I doubt they'll spike suddenly.

@PizzaTurtle123: Your arguments are unsubstantiated and not well defended. Why would either of those things cause a spike in shock land prices?

To clarify, cards don't suddenly increase in value or become hard to find when someone determines that the set they're from can now be called old. You need to indicate that something will cause the demand of shocks to spike (supply will only drop due to a buyout, which, as was stated earlier, is extremely unlikely due to the sheer number of shocks on the market).

Exactly. Fetches might increase their price, but we'll probably see them rise slowly for a bit with no big spikes.

The biggest danger is enemy fetches spiking if they don't show up in BFZ. My impression is that everyone is in a holding pattern, and the current slow increase is just from the normal increase of people picking up modern. No one wants to buy or sell because most people think they'll be reprinted so demand isn't spiking, but if they don't show up in that spoiler people will jump on the market.

I do not expect Shocks to break $20 for at least a year, maybe 2 or 3. Mostly because they are not 4-ofs, except in 2 color decks which aren't popular in Modern, the reason Steam Vents and Sacred Foundry are the most expensive is because Burn and UR Twin are almost the only 2 color Tier 1 decks, a deck only wants 4-6ish shock lands and maybe 10 Fetch lands and most of those are spread over 3 colors.

I doubt shocks will ever spike. The foils, however, may see more increase than the non-foils.

Foils will consistently increase, but nonfoils will stay where they are. WotC actually did something right and flooded the market. It'll be 2+ years before they even see $20.

The originals will stay higher, as older printings are wont to do, but they won't just spike on their own.

It's not gonna happen. There are too many damn shocks on the market; buying all of them out just isn't feasible.
