How to best store FTV: 20?

If someone was going to hold onto one or more sets of FTV:20 for a long period of time is it prudent to leave them in the original factory packaging? The cards appear to be bent IN THE PACKAGE. It blows my mind why wizards would pack them this way. Should they be left alone for years on end this way or should they be unboxed and flattened, and wouldn't that impact their resale value down the road?

They're all foil right? That'd probably be why they're bent inside the package.

I guess you could keep them in a vault

I second Blakkhand's statement. That was pretty bad.

As long as they're in factory packaging, and said packaging is not damaged in any way, the cards should be considered mint.

Out of curiosity, how long are you intending to store them for? A couple years? A decade?

I got a FTV:20 and the cards are naturally bent. It's due to the foil on the cards pulling the edges together, so you shouldn't worry too much about that. It happens with every foil card, whether it's a FTV card or a foil land.

Okay cool I'll just leave them be then. I'm not sure how long I'll hold onto them. Probably forever and pass them on to my kids. Hah yeah right!

As with anything valuable and paper-based, keep them somewhere cool with low humidity levels. Moisture and heat will make the bending worse. And yeah, in the package would be best since the second you take them out of there you devalue them as a set.

The best place in the world would be an underground salt mine. But, since you probably don't have one of those, a water-tight container kept in the coolest part of your home would be ideal.
