Can't go into too much detail but wondering if anyone here would ever consider buying special sleeves and mat which allow cards to be played in heavy winds and picked up easily. The special sleeves can be placed around sleeved or unsleeved cards, and will increase durability as well as protect cards from shuffling damage.

I'm not selling something here let me be clear about that. I'm just seeing if there is a market out there for something like this.

Probably not. I doubt many Magic players would ever be playing in heavy winds. Some of them barely even go outside.

I've actually had the wind problem, but he more applicable factor here is the protection from shuffling damage, which sounds nice, maybe play with 60 of those huge see through collector case things?

@CW: Someone at my LGS actually used to play with his deck in toploaders. It was awesome.

No, but I wish someone would eventually come up with a service to make small orders of custom sleeves. I wanna design my own sleeve art!

@SharuumNyan: I think there are one or two custom sleeve manufacturers, but their prices tend to be high because it's a rare service and takes a decent amount of setup just for a small batch size. Try doing some searches.

I like this idea. I camp fairly often and 9 times out of 10, I bring a few decks(for emergencies), and playing at a campground on a wooden table with benches, a lot of time the winds are going pretty fast and the cards shift a little. What I would REALLY like to see is waterproof sleeves so you can play at the pool or lake!

Interesting ideas everyone. Thanks. Gives me some good insight into what's important for people in their sleeves.

Any other ideas?

@Epochalyptik - I've looked, but the one place I found only did very large orders of custom sleeves.

they have the exact fit clear sleeves which fit inside of the cheaper non-ultrapro sized sleeves, which allows you to double sleeve cards, protects better against table spillage as well as adds a little more toughness to the edges
