I've never opened a box of boosters (Only been playing since Aug. 2013). Is it a good box to buy?

Probably. A lot of old, pricey stuff was reprinted, so a lot of value will hold.

And a majority of that stuff now has foils where it didn't before.

It seems like a good buy, especially since I play mostly Commander, now.

There are reprints of a lot of older strong cards and some big flashy mythics so a box would probably be a good buy overall but especially for a commander player. Also I would recommend having a kitchen table draft with your friends instead of just ripping packs if you do get a box because there are some fun "the act of drafting matters" cards in the set.

The reprints are surprisingly great, Exploration as a rare? damn... I usually just draft in FNM's, my friends aren't MTG fans. CFB Game Center's actually holding Friday Night Conspiracy as an event now, I think, so I could do that.

You should probably draft it if you decide to buy it.

I bought a box for 108 and regret nothing. An evening of draft with friends plus about my value back justifies the purchase. Foil Brainstorm/Swords alone would be worth the box soon enough.

Damn. These boxes are already selling for $120 at pre order. All the lower prices seem to have been snapped up! I wonder if it will drop down to $100 or so at release.

It also sucks to live in Australia because all the shops around me have jacked up the prices as we cant get them shipped from the US, and everything is expensive here.

I've already talked to my LGS owner, I didn't get a chance to preorder a box (money issues) but he is going to sell it at what a normal standard set box goes for (so like $105). I'm hoping foils all around.

jonhydude sounds to me like you need to make a friend that can ship it out to you cheaper.

How much boxes gonna run out there?

what format are you playing? if you're Standard, I'd go with Journey into Nyx. Conspiracy isn't really Modern/Standard legal but good for EDH if you're into that. HTH

TheKatalyst - this is why I really want to buy it, the value

JakeHarlow - My LGS is CFB, they're selling it for 120 + tax so if i decide to buy it, imma buy it somewhere else

Caligula - I have some cards that I really want, Mirari's Wake , Exploration , but yeah, I want to cultivate my trade binder.

cr14mson - I don't play standard or modern, I draft mostly, but I like building Commander decks

I am looking at this set as being great.........sooooo many great cards getting reprinted and being a major commander plater, this set is full of staples for the game. There are other cards that are fantastic too, so in reality everything from common to the rare slot is going to be awesome.

Not being that big of a draft fan, gonna have no problem cracking packs open right away to try and get cards that I want/need.

I agree with you 00xtremeninja, although I am a draft fan. Overall, I just want to finally open a box.
