Is Doubling Season worth an investment?

So I've got an Atraxa deck that I'm slowly wanting to turn from a creature counters deck to a superfriends over the next few years. My first big purchase is going to be Doubling Season, as I already have the mana base and some of the planeswalkers already.
Thing is, it's like $55 or so on TCG right now. Pretty expensive, but I can afford it fairly easily. My only thing though is that I'm wondering if it's likely to be reprinted any time soon. It has almost no use in any format but commander, but considering it's so high-value, do you think Wizards might reprint it in an upcoming set?
Again I don't mind buying the card at all, but I'd rather not buy it now if it'll plummet in price any time soon, y'know?
Should I just wait until MM3 is spoiled or do you folks think it'll still hold its value even if it is reprinted then?
Doubling Season sees fringe play in modern, but it is commander that is bolstering the price.
There are 2 things to consider here:
1) Doubling season could possibly be printed again in a FTV or Masters set in the next 3 years. Its price has once again hit "big ticket" status, meaning if they put it in a set, its likely to sell better. Now, these both have limited print runs, so there is no guarantee how much it will help, what rarity it will be, or how long you will have to wait to get it.
2) We are getting ever closer to a critical mass of Planswalkers that are game changers in modern. Talks of Super-Friends modern decks have been circulating and some have done well in MTGO leagues. If one ever does well at a GP you can bet Doubling Season will go up another $10-$30 if it hasn't been reprinted. But will this actually ever happen? And if so, how long will it take? 1 year? 3 years? 5 years? Who knows.
If I were you I would buy. And NOT because I think it will go up in price, but rather it will stay the same. If it is reprinted in a set soon, it probably will drop no more than $10-$15 (and then go back up, like most limited print run set cards do). Likewise, I highly doubt the Super Friends deck has enough steam to get going in modern, so don't expect a huge price jump. It will steadily rise in price by ~1% to 5% for the next few years as more players build decks and need them. If you can trade for it, that's always better, but I wouldn't feel bad buying it.

Wait for MM3 next year - if it is not reprinted then, buy it.

If it's not on mm3, the price will go up. But the thing is, I think they will reprint in one of the master sets, just when. If you are playing with it, get it now. Better to get longer use out of it.

I have doubts it will be in MM3. I feel they are going to try and focus on the Innistrad block and Return block, since they can be reprinted now. However, I'm pretty sure we will see it again in the near future, maybe FTV or another supplementary product.
As for price, it's only going to go up.

Buying anything MTG related that is not in the reserved list as an "investment" is always a poor choice.

mathimus55 he isn't buying it as an investment, he is buying it to use it in a deck.

I'd wait it's bound to get printed somewhere this year with how expensive it's getting
