I have been thinking about selling my fetches, and jace, and some others. Is ebay the best way to go about that? I do not want to sell to a shop only to get 40-50%.

You can always list them on here. Many people will make paypal offers on cards. Then eBay doesn't get their cut either.

I was unaware you could sell on here. I will have to check that out.

You can sell on TappedOut (although we don't offer a special interface for doing so).

Additionally, you can pursue selling on TCGplayer. They impose fees, though, same as eBay. I don't remember the percentage because I haven't sold there in a while.

You can also advertise to your local network. For example, I have several Facebook groups that track various local playgroups. If I or anyone else has something to sell, we post there. No fees, direct sales.

Thanks for the info epoch. I will start with putting those on my list here, then decide what to do after that.

craigslist is also an option. Depending on where you live, there may be collectors who will purchase valuable singles.

Basically at the end of the day the more work you do the more you're going to get, inversely the less work you do the more a 3rd party is going to charge for the conveniences.

Listing locally, waiting and tracking someone down in real life is likely going to get you the closest to retail. Selling to a buylist either online or at the store will be the least, and everything else is going to be somewhere between the two.

Unless they've changed it at all, selling anything over about $20 is better on tcgplayer than ebay when it comes to fees.

Ebay charges a flat fee. About 9%. I use it frequently for my cards and selling for friends.
