Is It a Good Idea to Invest in Shocklands?

I'm wanting to get a playset of all the shocklands so that I have them on hand when I want to build new decks. What do you think the price of these will look like when they rotate out? And do you think that there will be enough of a demand for them so that I'll be able to sell them quickly? I only play standard so I won't have any use for them after they rotate. Is this a good idea or should I just buy the ones I need when I need them?
Yes. Many years ago, I got my hands on all the dual lands I could find for $10 each and now they are worth much much more. Shock lands will only increase in value. Get them now.

Considering they just got printed, you wont loose value to a new repring in the next few years. They should not drop in value too much when rotating out of standard. A bad move would be to invest in fetch lands imo.

Get a playset of everything, you never know what you'll want down the road. the only duals I never went after years ago were the green combos (G/W, G/B, G/U) because I never could imagine playing those combinations (3 color decks were not popular back then). Now I wish I had them, as there's no way I'm going after them today.

They all used to be $20+, and eventually they will be again, once they stop printing new ones.

They see too much play in formats besides standard to drop much in price. They're also a very good "high-powered mana fixer without reprinting ABUR duals" so there's every reason to assume they'll turn up in standard again at some point.
Modern and EDH players will ALWAYS need them.
