Pulled one today. Should I get rid of it now or is it good enough in non-rotating formats to not dive in price? Thanks!
It's going to end up somewhere around $30-$40 after rotation. It's seeing enough play outside of Standard to keep it's price high enough for value. It's a mythic from lightly opened set. I would trade it, but if you're just going to sell it to a store, you might as well hold onto it.

I'd trade him. He likely won't be retaining his price in the long term, so unless you have a deck to put it in, then just offload it to a player who needs it.

Jace won't hold it's pricetag. People are currently experimenting with him in non-rotating formats but not with huge success. Get your hands on some foils, as he is seen in some Vintage decks. How crazy foil prices for Vintage-only mythics are is best seen at Dack Fayden.

yeah I see him being around 25-35 after he rotates out. I still can't believe he is worth 70 bucks, as a modern player he really isn't nearly as good as similarly priced cards in the format (snapcaster, LotV, Bob formerly). He'll have value just not a 70 dollar card value.

My thoughts:Stupid normal jace: sell asap. It just can't retain it's price in the long run. The set is not opened like, say ktk was or bfz. But everyone who has access to 80$ boosters box is opening them, cause you cannot fail in doing so. If they find a Jace they can crack another almost for free and keep some good pieces (ori if full of nice things to have, Hangarback Walker, Goblin Piledriver (I'm actually sitting on 22 copies of them), Dark Petition (yeah, actually Infernal Tutor + Lion's Eye Diamond on a single card, and it's proven to work sometimes even better, a.k.a. a legacy staple from the near future), Abbot of Keral Keep, Exquisite Firecraft, Evolutionary Leap and some other sweet cards that will probably see play in standard, modern and other non rotating format. Also the other LilWalkers are going to hold a strong premium, they are powerful, flavourful, canbeyourcommandersful, alsotinyleadersful, and they are filthy cute (...ful).Foil Jaces are going to be expensive in the forseeable future, because of eternal format (look at Dack Fayden, the Moxen Stealer, for an exagerated, yet valid, reference).
So: Non-foil=sell, foil=keep, see a foil Korean, Russian, Japanese, German, Esperanto, cuneiform script in someone else binder= snag, steal buy or trade hard for it

Price is inflated due to standard demand. There are some decks that will play him in modern/legacy/vintage(?) but not enough to warrant this price. I have 2 I've been trying to unload on PucaTrade for about 3 weeks but nobody wants them. That should speak volumes.

actiontech: "Trade Rate: On average this card is traded 11.6 times per day"
Seems like you are missing 11,6 trains a day. Buylists for him in the last weekend here (Italy) were 60 (66$)...cash. And Italians are more Legacy/Modern players. So, it's not this difficult to unload. Just do it before it drops...

Rodzo - I don't trade internationally due to the expense of tracking overseas. So I imagine a lot of those 11.6 people are not in the US.
