I haven't been playing for a super long time so I have never experienced what duel decks do to card price. What will this do to my beloved Jace, Architect of Thought 's price? Do I need to ditch him sooner then expected to get my $20 out of him?

Duel Deck printings tend to not cause drastic changes in original planeswalker prices.

If anything it'd be the duel deck version that'd be cheaper. When the Sorin Vs. Tibalt Duel Decks came out, if I'm not mistaken, Sorin dropped about 2 dollars for his Dark Ascension printing and his Duel Deck version was about 5 dollars cheaper. Tibalt, being a walker nearly no one wants, didn't really change at all and the Duel Deck version was about the same, despite being alternate art.

Based on how much people have hated the new artwork, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see the original JAoT drop too much.

I would think that with more JAoT circulating around, naturally the value would go down, supply increasing, demand...not changing much. Also I think people will eat up this duel deck set for Remand .

Generally speaking, original printings retain the majority of their value. The Duel Deck printings tend to be worth less, but the originals don't change much.
Of course, this is not an absolute. But it has been the trend for a while.

I sold 1 copy of 4 for $20, which will buy me the dual deck, which is fine with me since foil alt art is better than reg art imo lol, the price may also be effected by the rise of GR monsters and less top performance of UWx if it continues as we move forward

It seems to me that Wizards likes to print things that are popular in standard for the temptation, with one or two Modern/Legacy staples to boot. Because Remand is at such a high price right now, this duel deck seems like it could be worth the buy (though I already have my playsets). Generally speaking, duel decks don't affect the prices of the Planeswalkers printed. Post rotation, Jace, Architect of Thought won't hold much value, so getting a cheaper foil version with other EDH goodstuffs for almost the price of one Remand makes me happy. Though to be honest I'm kind of sour that this duel deck risks dropping my Remand prices.

Picking 1 of these up for sure. Just to complete my Vraska the Unseen playset. Remand is a bonus plus there tons of good stuff in this box.
