Depends on what you want from it. I bought one sealed and 2 Remand
as singles to get the 3 I want. I might buy another to keep sealed, just cause. But the long-term value is in the remand's, very few people like the new Jace, Architect of Thought
art, but he has the next good value at around 8-10$ a pop. Vraska the Unseen
is third.at 3.50 and probably going to drop. There is nothing in there that is really awesome and the only real sleeper in there is Reaper of the Wilds
. I don't think it's worth buying 4 of unless you want more than a couple cards as playsets. You can buy the remand's cheaper as singles than all 4 of the decks.

i bought 4 to use and trade bait. surprisingly people in my meta like the new jace art, so i have been able to get some decent trades out of it. not to mention i had $50 worth of target gift cards sitting there, so it wasn't a huge out of pocket investment

I bought 4...
Didn't have any Remand and wanted the play-set.
Also.... though people don't seem to want the new Jace, Architect of Thought art, I have no real preference.
As such, I can now trade my 3 original art Jace's, which people do want, and still have 4 to play with.
There are also a few people at my LGS who collect PW's, so 4x Vraska (either art) will make good traders.
Other cards worth noting... Future Sight for some EDH decks, Tainted Wood , Underworld Connections ... and for some collectors, the Assassin Tokens, which were quite hard to come by (until now).

I'd urge people to buy them just so they can trade the Jace's to me. I don't care about the art really, I do like foils... but I like that it's $5 cheaper than the RTR Jace

Remand has plummeted back down to $9 on Ebay over the past week. The cards are worth $20 and if you want 4x of each card it's worth it. If you are just after a playset of Remand or Jace, Architect of Thought then you're better off buying them separate.

I'm actually going to disagree with most of the people here. The new Remand is worth only $9-10. You'd only be making $4-5 on the "money cards" in the duel deck, and it's largely a question of whether you want to even stockpile. Jace, Architect of Thought 's value is floated by his Standard playability, and Remand is the only card with immediate, lasting value.
You'd be investing in a set that is only marginally more valuable than MSRP, only marginally likely to retain value down the line, and can't really be sold for higher than it is now. I'd avoid investing and just scoop up Remand s.

Prints from duel decks rarely hold a candle to the original pricing. I get enough love out of my 1.5x playset of Remand , but I would like to get a hold of this duel deck for EDH fodder, though.

I bought one an hoping to sell it later for a little profit but even if it goes down I'll have something to trade maybe

Sure.
Personally, i'm holding on to mine sealed to re-sell them after they're out of print.
I know plenty of people who bought 4 to use though.
