Just let me say...

I have a lot to say about the spoilers for MM15, so let's get started

Tarmogoyf-Let's face it, another printing (and "version" at that) means another price increase

Eldrazi-Sliiight price decrease. They are wanted by specific groups, so a new influx should appease them if they aren't in BFZ

Mox Opal and Karn Liberated- somewhat desperate attempt to bring tron price down. My guess: $5-10 drop at the MOST.

Splinter Twin, Primeval Titan, Daybreak Coronet, and Spellskite- having most of modern foaming at the mouth, and considering there was a large number of these already out (minus coronet) I predict a $10 price drop ($5 on prime time)

Vendilion Clique-SHARP rise in price for MM2 version (at LEAST $100 per) and a small downward change for the old ones. The new art is gorgeous, people!

Dark Confidant-High price tag wizards wants to bring down, people agree, noone complains

Mirran Crusader, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Iona, Shield of Emeria- nice fringe whites, also nice for legacy & vintage players. No drop with crusader, but $5 drop on the other two.

Goblin Guide-$20 for a red card that isn't Sneak Attack?! Preposterous! Reprint and $5-$7 price drop!

Noble Hierarch -everyone's #1 pick. $60 price tag. I have a bad feeling that it'll turn out like goyf and go up $10+. Please let me be wrong here... At least it's a rare!

Commands-Wizards knew cryptic needed a reprint, but didn't want to repeat MM1-- PRINT ALL THE COMMANDS!!!!

Vampire Lacerator-Wizards

Bloodthrone Vampire-wat r u doing

Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder-Wizards

Rusted Relic-STAHP!!!!

Finally, Cranial Plating and Fulminator Mage- Icing on the cake, wanted/needed reprints. No major price change due to (SOMEWHAT) fringe play. MAYBE $5 on mage.

Thanks for reading, what do YOU think?!

Several of the cards you listed have NOT been confirmed. So you shouldn't speculate on their prices until they have been officially spoiled.

Also, don't be upset by the last four. They designed this set to be drafted, that means commons will exist. Will every card in MM15 be Modern playable? NO! But in order to have a functioning limited environment you NEED commons and uncommons.

JWiley129 I just think they could have had better creatures as commons, like Slippery Bogle, Squadron Hawk, Simian Spirit Guide and Frenzied Goblin for better commons. This IS a set about modern after all...but that's just me dreaming

Asher18 - Remember that this is the first day of spoilers. They won't tell you all the cards in one day. Patience.

They... They haven't spoiled all the commons and stuff... There aren't just going to be three of them. Just give them time.

People go nuts over bogles for some reason, I'm not expecting a coronet price drop seeing as it's so damn good.

Those commons are there to fulfill space in draft archetypes. It looks like they want vampires to be a draft archetype, so draft away.

i am guessing that they will finish out the praetors and the titans cycles as rares, leaving the most desired as the mythics. also, great art redo on coronet, if only it was kitty pride himself...i was looking forward to the days of not seeing his face again...

They aren't just random commons and uncommons being thrown in. They serve a specific purpose in the limited draft environment. Printing only commons or uncommons that see lots of play will take away from the draft experience and eliminate certain draft strategies.

I don't see how reprinting Tarmogoyf will raise the price. It only increases the supply. I don't think modern will have the same boom as it did after MM1.

Over $100 Vendilion Cliques sound very unlikely. The new printings will probably be worth ~4/5 dollars more than the old ones.

Noble Hierarch will certainly go down to some extent, as it is a rare and not a mythic like Goyf.

I know it's supposed to be larger than MM1 but still a limited print but the purpose of the Modern Masters subsets is to increase modern awareness and draw more people into the format while simultaneously making staples more accessible. After MM1, the price of mythic staples rose because supply didn't increase as much as demand. If Modern Masters is going to succeed at bringing more people into the format, Wizards can't afford to have the barrier to entry rise every time a new MM set comes out. Because of this I'm inclined to believe that this will be a larger printing than most are expecting and consequently have a different effect on the value of the cards printed than the first Modern Masters set did.

abenz419 Good thinking, however you're making the fatal assumption that wizards is thinking intelligently. They could pull a Games Workshop and just ignore future customers.

@abenz419 I agree, as well as, some financial MTG websites. The first Modern Masters did decrease a lot of card prices and after some of them spiked to where they are now. The events that caused this was a perfect storm in the financial world of MTG. This time around most places have boxes in stock, which wasn't the case in MMasters. This time it's a larger print run amongst other variables that will lower all prices. By me saying that I don't mean all prices will crash or drop immensely, but will lower to more reasonable price points and some will barely budge (some of the mythics).Tcg mids are not caught up yet but if you look at the graphs of cards that are being reprinted, some have moved down in price a good amount.
