Kolaghan's Command

Hey all just looking for a little advice. I got myself 3 copies of Kolaghan's Command as an investment (for like $30 for the set). And i'm thinking of selling them in modern season. Do you think they will go any higher than $16ish?

Thanks for your advice.

If it keeps seeing as much play as it is (and it will), it will go up more. Khan's block cards already aren't being opened as much anymore, though Dragons of Tarkir will be in Standard a while longer still due to the new rotation, so I don't think it's price will do anything too crazy until then, if at all. Just a steady increase until it rotates then it will drop a little (if at all, due to it's relatively minimal standard play), and then it'll just keep going up. No idea where it will cap off, but my best guess is no more than 25$ each. That's a year and a half away or more though, mind you.

aaron.jacob What?

Regarding Kolaghan's Command with the rise of affinity and tron as the top decks following the ban.. It will see a lot a play so In that regard, so it probably wont drop, maybe 1-2 dollars

The question is what deck wants to play it currently? Jund is very poorly positioned in the meta, Due its 40/60 affinity match-up post board... and even worse prior to that, as well as its horrendus tron matchup.... and the other deck that was playing Kolaghan's Command was grixis twin which is no longer a deck. I might be overlooking a deck that plays Kolaghan's Command other than these 2 decks specifically

So I would sell them now, not sure where they fit in the meta right now...

aaron.jacob That statement is completely unfounded and definitely not close to being true.

@PutridLeech. You're forgetting Grixis control. Even so, I don't think that deck is well positioned in the upcoming meta.

PutridLeech Jund isn't going to suffer that badly. It will need to adapt, but you still can't beat it's consistency. It will main Fulminator Mage and Ghost Quarter now and play Slaughter Games Crumble to Dust sideboard. The affinity matchup can be fixed as well, although not as strongly.

Modern aside, I hear it sees quite a bit of Legacy play as well?

Wtf is even going on here?

Anyways if you ever want to play black and red, keep them. Otherwise, it depends on how much you need the cash. They will probably rise over time, but not particularly quickly.

I'm a Jund player and I never felt that the affinity match up was tilted in their favor... if anything I felt it was tilted in mine. I will be main boarding 3x Fulminator Mage and that frees up a lot of room in my sideboard for tron and affinity. Ancient Grudge and Kolaghan's Command just seemed unfair playing against affinity and even more so now that Fulminator Mage can kill Inkmoth Nexus and Blinkmoth Nexus main board. I think Jund is going to be just fine... I also play a Batterskull in the side for burn and affinity. Great card .

Good ole IM....lol

But anyway, KC is played in 8rack too. A bit of a fringe deck but I like it.
