Is now a good time to pick up a few or sell now?

Pick them up three months ago. That seems like the ideal time.
If you want them, get them, if you don't want them, sell them. They're going to go up steadily as long as they're seeing play, which they will for the foreseeable future, but not up so much as to warrant hoarding them or holding on to them for years.

Kolaghan's Command reads:
- Add a card to your hand.
- Remove a card from your opponent's hand.
- Remove a card your opponent has.
- Remove a card your opponent has.
It's always a 2 for 1. I put one in my EDH deck; no regrets. This card is worth every penny.

why would you pick up a card you have no use for, unless you have future intentions of playing. if you're in commander I could see getting one. but not more than that.

The card is extremely good and overall is a great card but I dont personally think it is a spec card. It has steadily gone up in the past couple months but its not a stable or played enough card (eventhough it is played a good amount) to pick up at this price hoping to make a fair amount of profit off of it any time soon. Thats just my opinion on it at least.

It should stay pretty much where it's at right now. It doesn't much Standard play, but Jund and Grixis decks are running it in Modern so it will hold its value. I can see it maybe going up to $10 while it's still in Standard and then maybe up to $15 after it rotates out, if it still sees a good amount of play.
Unless you need them for a deck right now, there's no need to grab them now.

If you like to play modern, sepcifically 
or 
then get 3 or a whole playset. Whichever you prefer.
If you just play commander consider what are your top 3 decks. Get a copy for each of those.
Now is also a decent time to buy the foil versions since as others have said price will only steadily climb. The major raise in price after all was due to modern.

If you were just looking to speculate you've missed the boat. The majority of investment profit has already been made a few months back.

I never really tried speccing on cards. I just try to get what I need for decks I want to build. Luckily I traded for one when it first came out for my new project.
