Leovold and CN2, price evolution?

Hi there, when CN2 came out, I participated in a draft and pulled a Leovold, Emissary of Trest. I'm in the process of making a deck for commander around him and then wondered how much he was worth... I know he's crazy good, but I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the price he's at currently. So my questions are:
1) what caused his price spike?
2) Will he stay at this price, drop or rise?
3) I loved CN2 and am thinking of getting a box, because it's still at MSRP and the value in the set looks ok (+ I'm mainly a commander player and it contains lots of playable stuff)
I'm mainly looking for an answer on the first 2 questions, but wouldn't mind to get a decent piece of advice on the 3rd one either.
Thanks for your input!

For 1 and 2, what Kiortio said above. About the box, a friend of mine got one at release, and the value is pretty bad. He was excited about Berserk, which isn't even that great now. If you're not drafting it, I'd say it's going to be very disappointing

Go ahead and get a box if you want to. (Notice that he said nothing about getting rid of the Leo that he opened in order to get a box). CN2 is pretty fun to draft with friends. Leovold is pricy due to seeing heavy legacy play, and won't drop very quickly unless something else in sulti colors comes out that's better (which is not likely).

Thanks for the info on his play in Legacy, totally forgot that Conspiracy can also see play in Vintage/Legacy... not that I'll ever be interested in playing THAT format. I also didn't expect those formats to influence prices that much.
The reason of buying a booster box would be to turn it into a Cube (I'll have to check first with my playgroup if they'd be interested in that), not to try to make a profit. Note that I prefer to buy a boosterbox for doing this with a set that has a decent enough EV, so CN2 looks like a good choice for this.

1) He started seeing a lot of play in Sultai decks in legacy, plus he is a really mean commander with draw 7 effects.
2) I don't see him dropping any time soon, unless something weird happens.
3) If you want to buy a box, go for it. If you are buying the box to try to get some cards that you want, you should just buy the singles. If you are buying to box to open for fun or to draft, then I would recommend it.
