Hey guys! Renember a while ago when I opened an Oath of the Gatewatch booster pack and surveyed the contents? (Oh yeah, it's right here!) Well I'm back to do it again, this time with Gatecrash! Let's get started!

For me, I wasn't as involved with MTG as much when Gatecrash was out, and I didn't open as much of the set as I wanted to. However, I still love the set!

I will be evaluating the price of the cards in the pack using TCG MID pricing, as well as a few of my own opinions on some of the cards opened!

I spent $3.54 on this pack, so that is our goal!

So, what do you think? I'd love to hear your suggestions! Also, if you would like me to keep doing these, let me know!

This is cool but Gatecrash wasn't a very solid set and please, whatever you do, do not buy Dragon's Maze. That was one of the worst sets in the last 10 years of mtg...

This was fun though. I wouldn't mind seeing a series like this but please, no Dragon's Maze.

Thanks! DrFunk27, I plan on doing more packs in the near future. Just no, I will not open Dragon's Maze.

@ChiefBell, could I maybe make an article series out of this? I do have an Eldritch Moon and an Eternal Masters booster pack lying around?

Even though I'm used to posts about opening entire booster boxes, I have to admit that I actually enjoyed reading this.

If this ever became an article series, I highly suggest adding more content than is provided in this post. Anyone can find the price on all of the cards in a boosterpack, that's not interesting. Insight on every card in the pack is what people would come to see. "Oh, this card is in the pack I suppose" isn't article worthy, "This card was widely regarded as the premier removal in its draft format" or if the card isn't interesting at all, just some history on that type of card - "This was the 43rd 'Bear' to be printed in the game" are the sorts of things that would keep a reader in an article.

This at the moment is just kind of a cute thing, but I would not want to see this on a regular basis as it is right now. If this were to happen more frequently, I'd only give it any attention if it gave more to me as a consumer.

DevoidMage, yeah, I've been trying to find a way to make this more interesting to read. Thanks for the imput! I'll definitely have to take that into consideration!

I'm also considering doing an all-time Profit or Loss at the end of the article/thread. What so you think, and should I just stick to threads instead of going to articles?

I personally liked your last one more Atony1400, it just had a bit more insight. Perhaps next time actually find out if they were played in standard and not just a maybe? Still enjoyed it though!
