I have 3 miscut Lightning Bolt from M11. 2 of them have a very small border around the top and 1 has a much larger than normal border on the top. I would like to know what you would value these at. Starcity says $15 for M10 ones, so I'm thinking around $10.

I wouldn't go that high unless I saw pictures.

They are pretty similiar to the one on Starcity. Since they are used so much I thought the price for miscuts would be higher than normal. Do you think $5 is more reasonable?

Miscuts are variable. It really comes down to how much the other individual is willing to agree to pay or trade. You can find takers for $5. Given time, you may find takers for $10. The fact that Lightning Bolt is so available severely hurts the chances of you getting higher prices, though.

However, if it showed part of another card then you could easily get more money for it.

Generally, the most valuable kinds of misprints are:

  • Crimps
  • Severely misaligned cards
    • Upside-down cuts
    • Cuts that show parts of two cards
  • Folded tabs or uncut corners
  • Blank-backs
  • Severe color or print errors

My native language isn't English and I'm curious as of a definition of what a Crimps is Epochalyptik?

@agGravity: Crimping occurs when a card's edge gets caught by the pack sealing machine. The severity of the crimp depends largely on where in the machine the card was caught.

This is an example of a crimped card.

@Epochalyptik I didn't know it hold extra value, I have a French 4ED Verduran Enchantress who has a crimp on the top 3/4inch of the card. It's nice to know I did well not trading it for less. Sadly it's not a very wanted card
