So i won my second FNM this week where winner takes a box/80 credit. I took the credit and picked up a Liliana of the Veil Xenagos, The Reveler and Lifebane Zombie with the credit. I started playing when theros came out so im pretty new to the game overall. I have mono black built and a homebrew jund control that i took the first win with. My question is do I unload the Liliana on ebay or hold onto it and start building something modern/edh with it. I dont really think i can afford legacy as my collection is only 550 without mono black. Is Liliana of the Veil a safe longterm investment or is it better off just a good cash card now. I mainly picked it up because it was only 63 credit in comparison to tcg mids of 70 so i figured it would be an easy staple to get cash with.

yeah ive seen the price has went up dramatically over the course of the last few months. I was just trying to confirm that that's the only direction it could go?

Oh yeah. Even if it's reprinted (which it won't be for a while) Lili's going nowhere but up.
Asher18, what are the top 2 highest rated Walkers? Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Karn Liberated ?

She will continue to go up until she gets a reprint, The only planeswalker that is worth more right now is Jace, the Mind Sculptor .

And if she does get a reprint, the card will be standard-legal again, leading to an increase in demand, meaning the price might keep going up.

From what I have heard, she is supposed to keep climbing. Waste Not (the fan-made card) is coming and combos well with Veil Lili so that should help insure continued climbing.

capt_pantsless, just because she gets a reprint doesn't mean she'll be Standard-legal again. She could be reprinted in a Modern Masters 2 sort of deal. I doubt she'll ever be Standard legal ever again.

Are meaning highest rated by fanbase or like monetary value?

monetary. if monetary, then definitely fanbase. The whole reason cards have such high value is because of their desire by fans, ex. being Black Lotus and Mox Jet . Yes they are VERY good cards, but their rarity and desire by the fanbase is what really drives up their values. It's the same concept that makes most baseball cards worthless

That card is one of the best ever made frankly, and the third highest valued planeswalker. Cards that rare and good can only go up in price. If it were me, and I wish it was, I would hold onto it. Remember that no more of them are being printed and every day more and more go missing
