What even is this? It's a 6 mana 5/6 flyer. It was a 50c card forever, and it's suddenly shot up to $6 (according to MTGStocks). Can somebody help explain this to me? It's not even a good buyout target, because it's practically vanilla.

FAMOUSWATERMELON ORI edition.
Epochalyptik Early editions of Serra Angel are still worthless, despite the huge impact that card had on the game. Is there something specific about the Origins Djinn? Is it because black border?

There was an M15 Dijin. And an Alpha Serra Angel is 160$.

Magicrafter Everything from Alpha costs a heap. The non-Aplha/Beta/Unlimited angels are under $1. It doesn't make sense for it to have spiked. Maybe it's just an error.
It's just dumb.

Think I figured out why it is at $10 TCG mid right now. There are only 7 sellers (on TCG that is) for the card, so they can price it at whatever they want right now. Why there is only like 7 of them, I do not know yet. I'm gonna probably go get a few of them from my game store and sell them on TCG player now...

They're still dirt cheap at SCG. Get 'em before they spike!

lol. Don't bother getting them. They're only found in the into decks, which you pay $10ish for anyway. I guess people are trying them in blue devotion decks since it's bigger than Siege Rhino and all of the dragonlords except Atarka? It's a fluke, and you can get plenty of 10th Ed. ones for a quarter.

It's cause they're only available in those promo packs... Terra Stomper did the same thing. ...it'll drop back down.

Gidgetimer what does this have to do with Standard players? It's one of the instructional deck rares so there is currently a very low supply on the market. Same thing happened when M15 was released because you can't open them in boosters. It's not a spike, just a couple dealers looking to score an easy buck from aggressive set collectors.

Origins Aegis Angel, Nightmare, Shivan Dragon are all under a buck and Terra Stomper is $2. With the price disparity of the instructional deck rares the only thing I can think of is players, not collectors are the reason for the spike. Since players of all other formats already have their buck rares it must be standard players.

Check out the Origins version of Weave Fate. Anyone want it for a dollar? It's gonna be a Standard all-star! /sarcasm.

I don't know why it's $6, but it's an iconic card from the game's early history.
