Mantis Rider: Keep or Sell/Trade?

Hello everyone, I'd like some opinions/speculation on Mantis Rider . I have acquired a playset (3 regular, 1 foil) solely by drafting and opening prize packs, and I'm unsure whether or not I should get rid of them while they're still around $5 a pop (roughly $18 for the foil). I'm partially worried that the mass amounts of Khans being opened will drive his price down considerably. Any thoughts?

sell/trade asap if your not going to use him. he wont see play outside of standard because american aggro really isnt a thing anywhere else. hell be like $2 down the road in my opinion

I agree. Jeskai aggro is much like mono blue devotion when theros came out. A powerhouse at first, but when the meta adjusts, it will drop down

I really cannot offer a comment that is more useful than anything already posted here.

It's a powerful card in a popular and successful deck in the current Standard, but it will not see play in serious Modern. It is plateauing at the moment because the deck (Jeskai Tempo), is well-positioned in the meta, and Mantis Rider is a staple rare for it. I don't believe it will increase in price, though, especially as the meta adjusts to accommodate Jeskai Tempo, both as part of player reaction and the introduction of new sets.

I'd say, either play with your set if you'd like to run Jeskai Tempo or some brew of your own with them, or trade them away before they depreciate. You might be able to fetch a nice price for that foil right now!

They'll only go up, and you should stockpile as many as you could. On a completely unrelated note, I have one for trade.

If you look at TCG player you will see that the price is starting a downward trend on the mid & low prices. Unless you are using them for something, trade/sell them off.
