Hey Guys -

So i was thinking that i dont want a box of boosters from born of gods, but i want more than i have, on top of some more theros.... is it possible to get a mix of boosters in bulk from somewhere. Or just buy individuals in the mix that I want...

Moved to Economics.

Never buy individual booster packs from online stores. There's a chance they've been mapped, and you're never likely to make your money back anyway.

The whole point of a box is that it's cheaper than buying packs individually, if you wanted to spend hard cash on 'opening' boosters, but you coud just take the ~$100 you have and just buy all the singles you need, it might not stretch very far at first but I promise, unless you pop multiple Brimaz, King of Oreskos your more than likely not going to make your money back. Nor end up with the specific cards you wanted, remember, buying a box doesn't solve all your deck building problems, if anything your inclined to spend more fleshing out playsets of all the good 1-offs you pull from the box. Key word being 1-off.

If you're just looking for packs from recent sets you could buy a couple of boxes with some friends and mix them up together.

Or, you could go draft at your local LGS. Right now in a block draft you should be opening Theros and BotG packs. It's a good way to build a collection and have some fun. Plus, you might win more packs.

I know it would be more cost effective to just buy the cards i want... but as a new player... opening packs is part of the fun. Finding cards and playstyles that i wouldnt otherwise have tried.

To be honest i have never tried a sealed or draft event. or played outside of my friend circle. which is something i should probably get to. SOmetimes i feel like im too old... but thats a discussion for a different forum i think. :)
