I saw the price of an Phyrexian Obliterator (around $30) and was wondering if there was more valuable black creatures.
I see him at minimum around $120 - $130 (excluding shipping) online.
Any others?

Moved to Economics.
If we're allowing foils, look up the Judge Dark Confidant .

Dark Confidant is up there but not as high as Juzam Djinn .

If multicolor counts, probs the promo Doran, the Siege Tower who I believe sits at a lofty $600

I wish there was an edit button.
Here is a list from TCG Player of black creatures worth more than $50.
It appears the top five are:
- Alpha Zombie Master
- Alpha Will-o'-the-Wisp
- Juzam Djinn
- Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed
- Alpha Demonic Hordes
Juzam Djinn is the most expensive one that hasn't been reprinted.
Dark Confidant (~$70) is the most played, but was printed rather recently and then reprinted in Modern Masters.

Second Edit:
...if we're going to allow promos and foils and whatnot, then 1996 World Champion takes the cake!

@tman007: Depending on your price guide, the Judge Dark Confidant is up to $50 more expensive than Juzam Djinn .

I was looking for more mono black, but those other cards are interesting.
That Will-o'-the-Wisp , I rather get the $2.50 version. It is a good mini blocker.
Love the flavor for Dark Confidant

I guess I should have added this to my previous comment:
Thanks for telling me about these cards, I wanted to see if there was anything I'd want to add to a deck I'm making.
I still think Phyrexian Obliterator has the better ability, so I'll get one of him.

No offense, but if you're picking cards solely from the "expensive category," you're probably building your deck the wrong way.

I agree, that is not the way to build a deck, and it isn't what I was doing.
I assumed that the Obliterator's great ability was the cause for its high price. S I assume that If i came across other expensive cards, I might find other cards with great abilities.
I did see some, but they didn't fit the theme that I was looking for. Will-O, is a good blocker, but I rather play a Viscera Seer .

Card prices are mainly set on the demand for cards in Standard, Modern, and Legacy. If you're bulding an EDH deck the card prices are less relevant.

I can see the logic in that approach. However, Magic has pretty strange economics. A lot of expensive cards are only expensive because they're old and hard to find. If you want to find some powerful cards, look at MTGTop8's most common Legacy and Modern cards.
If you're building EDH, look at the resources on my profile page.

obliterator is great, but his price has skyrocketed (about 300%) since devotion became a thing and modern season started, not because of his ability. which is what held him stable at 10-12$

I think Juzam Djinn takes the cake, but I could be wrong.
