Mtg Origins- Seems like a high dollar set

Economically speaking only- the cards in this set seem to be pretty outstanding to what we have seen in khans and dragons sets. Were back to single colors and I like to see this. Piledriver by itself is a reason to buy this set- but i see alot of potential here. Am I the only one? I feel this set will be one that doubles/triples in price a year from now.

Small list of what I'd call valauble cards:

Nissa, Vastwood Seer  Flip

Kytheon, Hero of Akros  Flip

Archangel of Tithes

Erebos's Titan

Avaricious Dragon

Day's Undoing

Talent of the Telepath

Animist's Awakening

Displacement Wave -new ratchet bomb for tokens

Harbinger of the Tides- wow. as if merfolk wasn't strong enough.Knight of the White Orchid -always a solid card.

Herald of the Pantheon

Mizzium Meddler

Goblin Piledriver YES. Cant believe its back.

Tainted Remedy sideboard solution.

Vryn Wingmare

Psychic Rebuttal -alot of potential for burn defense

Subterranean Scout for a commom? are you kidding?

Hangarback Walker

Sword of the Animist landfall decks

and all the rare lands usually go for 5-10$ each. not to mention the other planeswalkers just becuase theyre mythics. I chose these based on how valuable they will be to play, and why they may make this entire set worth buying now.

Also, Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip has crazy potential for black sacrifice decks. Really awesome with Fume Spitter, and Bloodghast!

Not even Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip? I feel like he will be a valuable card because he is a looter that when he flips can flashback stuff he looted.

The pain lands will be hard pressed to get up to the $5-10 mark again, there are sooooo many printings now that there is almost no demand due to saturation.

Most sets come out of the gates with higher EV due to the nature of the new cards. Like always, some cards will exceed their presale price, some will maintain and most will drop. With that said there does seem to be Lora of cards for lots of types of players. Standard/modern cards, possible legacy(and reprinted legacy) and oodles of edh goodies. It seems like they really went all out with the last core set which is awesome. It should carry lots of value long term. Plus I thought the limited format was a blast, probably better than MM15 I'd say. Sealed product of fun limited sets always carry value well

This set seems pretty awesome. Cards have potential beyond standard, which is tempting me to pick up some sealed product. Last few sets have seemed standard only.

The only card in the entire set that has potential in Legacy is Day's Undoing, and even then it's niche and nigh unplayable. This set is going to be good for modern because Piledriver, maybe we'll see Day's Undoing in some lists but unfortunately there really isn't much great outside of painlands.

A solid handful of EDH cards too- Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip, Disciple of the Ring, Dark Petition, and Kothophed, Hoarder of Souls to name just a few.

Maybe Shaman, I'll give you that. It depends on whether or not elves is willing to splash black to drain an opponent for ten on turn 2 or not and just win turn 3 with Craterhoof. Also, the best EDH card in the set is Alhammarret's Archive, hands down.

I tend to look for things that stand out, like the Innistrad and New Phyrexia sets. To me this set isn't equally as good as those, but not far off with some of the cards that are in it. Booster boxes for this set will go higher than $100 you can guarantee that
