Not buying an M15 box this time... what should I go after for singles?

Since M13, I've been pre-ordering a box of each set with the rationale that I was saving nearly a third on pack-prices. Several boxes of magic later, and I'm in a pretty good glut of cards.

Even so, I never got super-lucky and really didn't get the key cards and trading fodder I was hoping for.

So, I've decided to go the individual card-buying route. I'd like to get as much as possible at my LGS, who are now keyed to Star-City prices. If they don't have what I want, I'll go further afield (internet, etc.)

I love red and white, and green.... and black when combined with white... and I pretty much stay away from blue.

What commons and uncommons should i get playsets of right away? What rares should I snap up if I see them? My budget will likely be the $100 I would have spent pre-ordering a box.(This is for standard deckbuilding, not for investment)

Urborg is a definate must if you play mono-black also I recomend picking up a garruk and a nissa they are really good and maybe a chain veil and a soul of new phyrexia so that should be like $100

If you want to get standard playables, buy a box. You're likely to get 3-4 of all of the cards that you want common / unc wise, and you'll get value regardless of the rares that you pull. M15 is one of those sets that you should buy boxes of, because it's insane.

lots of high value reprints in m15, plus some insane new cards like the PWs, Life's Legacy , and Spirit Bonds to name a few

yeah, I've read in a lot of places where people are calling this the best core set since M11.... if not the best ever. The last part may be a little bit of a stretch, it's looking like it's up there but I'm not sure about the best. Anyways, point being, everyone is raving about this set so now would probably be the worst time to stop buying a box because the value should be there.

This should be the core set you're buying.

Personally I've found decent deals on singles on amazon, out beating most of the competition. Chief Engineer 0.75, a Soul of New Phyrexian 5.00, ob nixilis unshackled 0.50, and a bunch of others. The reprints like urborg and chord are roughly same price of everyone else but the new cards have been extremely low so I got play sets of what I might use, since a box is not in my budget lately and packs have been unfair as of late.
