It can be played at virtually no cost to a mono blue deck, and it has only seen one printing. Plus, that set wasn't opened much so there's not many of them in circulation.

It sees some play in U Tron as a blue source that doesn't fold to Choke or land destruction effects and also functions as a way to filter colorless mana into additional blue mana (float blue, pay a colorless to bounce it, and replay it, netting a blue mana to use on your turn and one to hold up for interaction on their turn). It is also popular in the UB Mill deck as a way to repeatedly trigger Hedron Crab.

Ahhhh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. All I saw a sweet, but overpriced landfall loop.

And yet Ghost Town is less than a dollar. Sad days.

Ghost Town is not Modern legal and doesn't tap for the best color in the game.

Well that, and you can only activate Ghost Town's ability on an opponent's turn. I just have a soft spot for lands with weird abilities, and returning itself to hand is definitely one of them. I love Oboro for the same reason, but Ghost Town doesn't cost over $60 for a playset, so I think I can love that one a bit more. xD
