Oubliette?

I have an Arabian Nights Oubliette in LP condition that I just picked up as a throw-in in a trade a while ago. Now all of a sudden TCG median on it is $15 and they're basically sold out everywhere and a guy is offering to trade me stuff like Eldrazi Conscription and Kor Spiritdancer for my black-not-as-good Detention Sphere . What's the deal with this card? Anyone know?

Black Oblivion Ring is a very unique effect. I don't think the pauper metagame affects paper too much but it does see a lot of play in mono black control in pauper (adds to devotion and is removal).

A lot of people play pauper in paper, while it's not sanctionable, there are a number of tournaments a lgs's as casaul play tournaments.

So basically since I don't play paper-pauper I should get what I can while the getting is good?

It was also only printed in Arabian Nights. Arabian Nights cards are more expensive across the board anyway.

Sure, it's just that until a few weeks ago it was a $3 common. I'm curious why the sudden price spike to $15.
