Pick up Dromoka's Command now or after rotation?

Its around 10$ now.. which is painful for what I want it for.. is this just a standard hype-train or could it actually hold or go up in price? (Like a mini Cryptic Command price presence..)
I saw this card is situational and underwhelming.. until someone made a legitimate arguments unlike the many other half-baked arguments..
(Turned out to be what I wanted for answers to burn and some removal in psuedo-form.)
I need to do some testing.. however, I also need input and opinions.. As your logic holds more weight than mine alone could.

Things are almost always cheaper after rotation unless they see a lot of play in Modern or Legacy. It sees very little play in both of those formats, so it will be cheaper after rotation. That being said, it is probably easier to just get them now and use them for the extra year or two. Saving $5 or so isn't really worth the wait.

kk, lemmingllama. :3 I dont play standard, so its just sideboard tech for modern... vs certain struggle matchups and it adds psuedo-protection for my lightning rod creatures.. but Ima keep it low priority and watch it.. It may not make my main 75.. except for meta calls.

First off it's not rotating out until a year and a half from now, do you really want to wait that long to use it? Second off, the card has only been out for 3 months and during spoilers the biggest discussion about this card was it's applications in modern. There is honestly no telling how much play it will or will not see over the next year and a half to know if it's going to drop at rotation or not.

abenz419 I dont have disposable income.. So yes I will wait. Also, I really didnt plan on anything.. Its hardly a must..
Its just Okay compared to the answers I already have and situations I have to deal with.. It isnt pulling its weight for 10$... maybe 4-5...
I plan to wait until the hype dies down, probably with the introduction of the next set and nab any cheap ones I can and at my leisure..

It wont rotate out for over a year, so if you want to wait that long then yes it will be cheaper then. Until then, I think it's pretty much hit the ceiling and should probably stay around the same price it is now until Siege Rhino rotates out, maybe going up or down a couple dollars.

You don't necessarily have to wait until rotation for it to drop below $10. For example, even Siege Rhino is at $6 right now, which sees far more Modern play and a lot of Standard play too. Tasigur is at $7, and dig through time is $6. I am guess it will drop to $4-5 dollars, especially if it sees little play in Modern.

Like I said, I dont really want to wait til rotation.. Just til it gets cheap.
If it becomes more viable then Kor Firewalker.

I'm with you... Not worth its standard price tag even for the versatility.

DO you mean when theros rotates out, or when DTK rotates?

It's going to continue getting opened in packs for another year and a half. Unless it sees a ton of play, it may pull a Tasigur and fall a little. But i don't think it will drop below 7

Tasigur will go up in the long run. Fits into too many places... I mean Snappy was 15$ for the longest time... Not anymore lol

You're right, in the long run. But for now he won't. These sets are being opened like crazy, and more cards mean more supply. Unless something happens to surge his use (as a 1-2 of mostly) he won't rise quite yet.
Snappy took off once he was out of printing, but to be fair snappy is far better than Tasigur.

I personally think that it will take a hit after Courser of Kruphix rotates out, since there will be FAR fewer enchantments running around standard after the Theros enchantment creatures leave. Stoke the Flames will leave at the same time as well, so unless they print another 4+ damage burn spell that can hit face I don't think Dromoka's Command will keep it's high pricetag.

Post rotatation it will be cheaper. Standard will hold it at 6-7+ while Rhino is Standard I think.
