i just ripped apart my standard abzan deck and i was wondering what i should do with the cards, should trade them all away now for more value before thy drop? or trade them for fetch lands? or hold on to them? i have like 7 Siege Rhinos and a few Windswept Heaths, i also have a bunch of mardu cards like Goblin Rabblemaster, Stormbreath Dragon and Sarkhan, the Dragonspeakerso if anyone can help me i'd apprieciate it.

Rotation is in fall, but obviously the closer you get to rotation, the more people you'll have trying to unload all their cards that are about to drop in price, causing the price to drop even more. Cards that are likely to maintain their prices fairly well would probably be fetches and Siege Rhino since both see play in other formats, but expect a slight drop as demand decreases.

what Necrotize said almerican i dont want to dump them when theyre bulk rares, and while they still hold value.

I would either trade them aiming to get a full set of each fetchland or sell them. The only standard card that you should keep are the rhinos and fetches.

Sorry I completely over looked him, I would keep a playset, especially since wizards didn't ban abzan. But cards like ugin, wingmate roc, whip, and all the gods, can go. I would keep your dig through times if you have them in case they come off the ban list and also for the fact that they see play in legacy. Right after rotation I would try and pick up some foils of them.

It just doesnt seem like any of the cards you have listed are going to be bulk. I mean even Brian Kibler is experimenting with Stormbreath Dragon in Modern.

I would probably wait until it gets closer to summer.

Khans isn't rotating out this fall. So all of the fetches and your rhinos and Sarkhan have a whole another year being standard legal. I wouldn't worry too much about a rotation that is a year and a half away.

Fetchlands are a safe bet if you don't want to gamble on card values. If you aren't going to be using those cards again, it might be best to simply turn them into fetches.

Stormbreath Dragon and Siege Rhino are playable in modern. You could make a profit by selling them before they rotate out, then buying them low after rotation, but that's a bit of a risk.

Sell the Sarkhans and Rabblemasters before rotation.

Hold the fetches, they will only go up.

If you can trade everything for fetches, you're doing pretty well. Fetches are like currency.

no theros block is rotating when Battle for Zendikar comes out. Khans, Fate, dragons, Origins, and Battle for Zendikar will be the standard legal sets when rotation happens this october 2nd when battle is released. Then in the spring "sweat" will be released. Then next fall when "tears" is released... Khans and Fate will rotate out making DTK, Origins, BFZ, "sweat", and "tears" standard legal. Then the next spring set comes adding "fears" to the standard rotation. Then as "lock" comes out that fall, DTK and Origins will rotate out and that's when we'll truely be into the two set block rotation.
