Do you think the price of the gods will increase or decrease after born of the gods comes out

Depends on how powerful each color will be. But my guess is down with the new multicolor gods coming out

I feel like they will increase. its hard to know for sure, without knowing what will be in the next set, but I am sure the devotion mechanics will get a lot better. there will be more cards to take advantage of the gods.

Born of the Gods will also be a small set, with anywhere from 120-180 cards. And with the big rumors of multicolor gods being released, I'm not sure how devoted you'll be to single colors.

They may spike a bit at first maybe go up $1-$3 each depending on what else we get in the set, but the BNG full set will be released the week of Jan 27 i believe.

BNG will be a 165 card set, and honestly, I don't see devotion being a mechanic we will see again. Wizards specifically said that they were trying to slow down the format and make it hard to play 3 color decks. Adding more cards with devotion would make aggro crazy, which I don't see being much of a thing. It's like ISD, with the Undying mechanic, it was only released in ISD, neither Dark Ascension or Avacyn Restored featured it. Just my two cents.
So now everyone is playing mono-colored deck, some of them feature a splash of one color, but not very often do we see a true 2-color deck that isn't somewhat clunky. Let alone a 3, none of them in the PT games, all the winners have been mono-colored.
So in this next set, I am thinking people are going to be punished for playing mono-colored decks. Being through the gods having to have devotion to each color before something happens, or hitting the opponent for only having one color to draw on
I.E. At the beginning of each opponents upkeep, if their multi-colored permanants are less than X, X happens
That type of shinanigans.
I'm not really sure what to expect, but I see there being a shift from the all-powerful mono-colored decks, into being almost forced into two color decks yet again. Again, just my two cents.

Actually aside from PT Theros and a GP or SCGI after that it has been U/W, U/W/x, or B/W at the top of a lot of the Pro Circuit

@ blackmarker90, I hadn't watched the most recent ones, in the past couple of weeks, so my info may not be completely up to speed. :)

People must be deviating a bit already
