Price Speculation for Ruinous Path

I already plan on buying a playset for my own use, but what do you guys think will happen to the price after release? its about $4.30 for preorder on tcgplayer right now, but personally I think we can expect this to be a solid investment as this will be the only unconditional creature and planeswalker removal in standard after Hero's Downfall rotates out and I could see it running maybe $10-$15 at peak at least until the set after launches. but what are your thoughts, is it a good financial bet?

I agree that long term it wont have much value, but personally I'm thinking it will see a big price jump the month after release. Hero's downfall also started out at about 4 bucks then jumped to 15 within a few weeks before gradually cooling off. Yeah, hero's downfall is definately the better card, but with it gone this will be peoples best alternative especially for planeswalker hate. Just IMO it could be good to buy then trade off a week after release

But Hero's Downfall having instant speed was the money maker. Most of the decks that ran Downfall with much success used it on your turn, not their own turn. a lot of control and midrange decks don't want to cast removal on their own turn and pass. This will be the best option on certain scenarios, but I'm not seeing it anywhere near the prices Downfall saw. Is just not as good.That said...I'll be picking up a playlet myself because it's one of the best options for UB control.

No is price is right heros downfall was just better at instant speed and eventhough it was played it was at like 3 dollars for a long time.
