Pricing on my Mana Leaks?

I have a playset of signed Japanese Mana Leak , and I'm wondering if anybody can give me a solid value estimate. I can't find them anywhere, so mine might be the only ones.

signed is a bit tricky, stores considered it 'lightly played' if the card is in near mint condition. A collector will pay more for it though. Personally I trade at slightly played (to get) and hold till the right deal comes along. The value in this case is in the eye of the beholder.

But you don't mention a set, assuming m11/12, 1-1.50 for the jp ones alone (at nm).

They're M12, yes.

Any idea of the range of pricing they could fetch? I'm thinking if I were trading for them I'd value at about $15.

For the set, that is.

I think $15 is steep. I would call them $10 together, which is $2 per card with a bonus for being a set. The fact that they're M12 instead of one of the special or older editions severely hurts the potential.

For a lot of signed cards it'll really just be up to how you value it yourself and whether or not someone is willing to buy/trade them off you for that value. Some 2ndary market stores could also appraise the cards and you can follow how valuable they would find those cards.

all 4 at 15$ correct?

I would value them at 5$ trading for them (and that's being nice, not the .99 on scg for the eng ones, which I would want to trade for them at), Getting them signed is easy (email the artist and he'll send instructions). The jp part isn't that much value (.50 more ea on starripoff), if you had foil ones, 20-25$ would be feasible for the playset.

Yea I meant the set. Lol I wish I had all foil ones.

I don't really plan on trading/selling them any time soon, I was just sorta curious what they'd be worth.

Why is it that a signed card doesn't have much more value than a normal one? Isn't it a popular way to make cards more "collectible?"

Because technically it is damaging the original quality of the card. NM cards are actually harder to find sometimes because of people playing limited without sleeves, moving from binder to play sleeves/other peoples binder does damage them if not in a perfect fit and moved often or wrongly. Storage without a sleeve and sorting through the cards damage them also.

Not everyone opens and puts right into perfect fits and keeps it there for its lifetime.

As for the collectablity aspect, signings are easy to get and free.

I have a lili otv alter that is only valued at 60$ (20 above current cost cause the alter costs 20 to do). It's a collector's item, but truthfully, argyle does them a lot, enough, he can run a site based only on lili alters (Though he does do this, it supports all his alters and playmat stuff). If you had something no one does often or is hard to find in this manner, then the collectiblity goes up.
