Projected Price of the July FNM Promo (path to exile)?

So, I just want some advice... will the value of promo Path to Exiles stay high, or should I trade them now before it falls.

It's pretty cool that Wizards is printing modern staple promos these two months... I'll keep my Serum Visions when we get those, but if I don't actually need more Path to Exiles, what should I do with them? Normally I trade any FNM promos I get asap, while the demand and thus trade value are still high, but the fact that Path to Exile is more of an eternal card complicates my decision.

I would assume that they stay at their $10 price tag. If your looking to trade them off, I'm looking for 2 :)

They won't skyrocket immediately, but I can see them being like the MPR Bolts in a few years, and you can keep your Semen Visions to yourself.

Wizards seems to be playing fast and loose with reprinting Path to Exile, and with the growth of Modern in the past few years, that has contributed to keep the price somewhat stable. I would expect the current promo Path to Exile to dip in price after the summer as modern season ends, then rise back up in price around spring and stabilize around a dollar or two more than the regular ones... provided wizards does not reprint it again.

All in all, I would probably unload it now. There is a chance it stabilizes at a higher price, but there is also a (small but not so small) chance it gets printed again in some Conspiracy-style supplemental product and crashes down.

The current promo does not look as good as the old Path to Exile with the Rebecca Guay art anyway :)

Its been dopping every week progressively every week. By the end of the month I dont think it will be worth much, but being a staple card, it will eventually rise. eventually im guessing to will end up around $12~

This will not rise. The art is the most inferior to all other versions of it imo and its been printed alot and is available in foil in many versions. It will never even approach the full art bolt, this isnt full art and is the worst art for a lot of ppl tbh

I like you your basing this cards economic future on your opinion of the art. Very scientific and perfectly logical lol.

This is in no way comparable to the MPR Bolt. It's art is mediocre, it's not textless, and PTE isn't as heavily played as Bolt in Modern, and isn't played at all in Legacy. I wouldn't expect to rise much if any.

Oh, well then, since you've seen other people agree with you then it MUST be true! LOL

Well... here's the thing, I also think the art is worse than the earlier versions; personally my favorite is the original Todd Lockwood from conflux and MMs2013 :D.

Thanks for all your help. I'll try to rotate those that I have asap, and I'll get back to you addaff if I fail to do so at my LGS.

I'm looking to pick up as many of them as I can, if for some reason the trade between addaff doesn't work out.

abenz419 if you can't judge value by less popular art then you won't go far in MTG economics, but thats up to you. Contribute something of use or crack on, peoples opinions amount to fact eventually and so far you haven't given one

I just want to say that it's been two months and the prices haven't dropped really. Just sayin xD. It's actually become kinda popular.
