So the PTM15 promo is a altered art Griselbrand . Do you think it'll be like Emrakul where the promo is cheaper than the original or will it be more expensive? I was wondering cause I've been thinking about picking up some and didn't know if I should wait for those or just get the regular ones.

@miracleHat: Dammit, ninja'd. I had some trouble finding an image I could link in correctly.

I am really excited for this promo. Just to clarify the rush of questions that are bound to come up, this is a grand prix promo.
either way, i hope that this promo is cheaper than the original like what happened with emrakul (38% price drop with big daddy).

Don't compare this to Emrakul. That was a Prerelease Promo, which a lot of people attend. This is a GP promo, so a better example would be Batterskull
, which did get a GP promo. Now, if you look at Batterskull
s promo, it's at the exact same price as its normal printing. Hopefully, this Griselbrand will be lower, considering it doesn't see as much play as Batterskull, but it still sees quite a bit of play in Legacy. Most likely (and hopefully), it'll stay around $35 with its regular printing. Not saying I would complain about it being lower, but I don't think it will. I'm definitely grabbing one for my demon collection regardless of the price.

Believe it or not, the GP Batterskull is, currently, under the price of the original, though be a dollar and change. That being said, I think this Griselbrand could (and hope) slightly affect the market for these cards. Fingers crossed that this printing is the cheaper one.

I'll trade my normal brand for this one in a heartbeat.

I'm expecting the promo B-Skull to jump in price in about a year, but it's also usually only a one of in the majority of decks that use it. Considering how highly sought after Big Daddy G-Brand is and that most decks that run him run him as a four of, I'd put his GP promo above the price of the normal one in a heartbeat.

So could someone enlighten me, how often are GPs and how do you get there? Do you need to win GP qualifiers?

GPs are almost every weekend, they're open to everyone, but they can literally be anywhere in the freaking world. Last weekend was GP Worcester/Boston. You can see the schedule here.

From what I've herd, Grand Prixs are pay the entry fee and play, not qualify to play.

So when exactly does this guy become available? For example, if I went to GP Nashville this October 31-November 2, would I get this or Batterskull ? Or nothing? Is it for all participants or what?

I think the Griselbrand starts in 2015, but I'm not 100% sure.
