So PSA and Beckett are pretty expensive services that can clearly add value to your investment. I have recently started my own MTG investment business, DangerUs Investments, and I'm curios on people's thoughts as to whether they would prefer to buy graded cards? Is there a dollar amount or expected graded value that should determine this? For instance, I have 3 Cradle's -1 NM, 2-LP- should I get all 3 graded for $60 or just the 1 NM for $20? How much value added should I expect to see from the grade pending its a 9.0-9.5 (PSA)? Which grading service is preferred?
Can't wait to hear comments and find my channel on youtube!

I appreciate your feedback! $500 seems a bit heavy but you may be right. I was considering grading my 4 Llanowar Elves as well because they are in SWEET shape and probably more of a collectors item since everything alpha is a collectors item. I was thinking with MTG that PSA is the go-to and I traditionally only see 7.5+ graded as well but there's got to be some kind of formula as far as expected return on grading. I would think even at 7.5 it probably not worth the hassle.

Yeah I didn't keep in mind cards from specifically alpha. The thing is I would say that any alpha graded card could probably go for 1.5x the regular price within reason but again even with that specifically you need to find the right people to buy it. Graded cards prices are really dependent on what people will pay and that will be different per person. You can make your own base and go from there when trying to sell.

So, I am not an expert on this but from what I have noticed in some high end facebook groups and just people buying cards is that the graded cards people care about are pretty much only 500+ dollars and in good condition. The cards I see graded and sold are foil cradles, workshops, power, sometimes tabernacles, etc. and pretty much ONLY collectors want them so its a pretty small market. I would also only bother grading cards 7.5-8+ and if it is below 8 or at 8 it better be a sweeeeet card like power because collectors are picky. As far as services pretty much I have only seen PSA (most common) and BGS as you mentioned not much passed that.
