An acquaintance of mine is leaving for college, and is too lazy to sell his cards. He gave them all to me. I don't know where the best place to sell singles are, I figured to sell online because a store would not likely pay a good price for them. Some of the most notable cards are

most of the cards are in mostly new condition, except the grotto and the lotus petal.

I would try to sell on a group site like this or a Facebook group I feel like that would be your best bet for getting the best price.

If you're up for a trade I'd like to nab that grotto.

I don't really want to trade anything, as I play with a very casual group, hence getting rid of all of these competitive cards, which is why I was leery about conducting business here ;)

All good, but I think you could make a sale on here in the trading forum.

You could totally sell on the trading forum. Also, you could totally trade any one of those cards for 1/2 of a budget deck if that's your thing. I'm sure people have a bunch of BfZ/SOI cards that they don't need post-rotation.

I think I might sell on tappedOut. What's the best way of payment? PayPal?

If you sell the cards, you should at least split the profit with your friend.

If you want to trade for casual cards to your playgroup for those vials i could send you a whole box of random rares and other stuff for the same value ($150, mostly RTR and forward. tons of cards but nothing too expensive of course).. I live in Sweden tho, so it would be shipping overseas..

I am going to spit profit. I don't really want to ship overseas, and I have far too many casual cards already. I regularly give away cards at my school.

For someone who isn't involved in the game, you do seem to know which cards are worth something! A random person would not be able to differentiate between bulk commons and money cards!

If you did just acquire a collection then there are bound to be stacks of junk commons that no one would give you money for. If you want to get rid of those then you could donate them to a card shop (or let them give you your pennies per 100 or w/e their bulk rate is). They may have kids clubs after school or store teaching events for kids. They are great for giving away to people who are learning the game. It's better than having them sit in a box untouched somewhere!
