Wow my auto correct on this tablet does what it wants. That second to last sentence was supposed to say that only three mythics and no rares are over $3. As a matter of fact a $1.50 uncommon and a $1.45 token are more expensive than all the rares.

Well you got it all wrong XD.
There were no shock lands in Dragon's Maze printed. The other two sets in the block, Return to Ravnica and Gatecrash, are the ones with shocklands.
Sorry bud

just because you had bad luck with a box doesnt mean it was tampered with. you're not entitled to good cards.

Sometimes a shockland appeared in the pack over the basic land slot for Dragon's Maze. It was low chance tho.

Actually MegaMetagross, TheAnnihilator and I are right. The "basic land" slot in Dragons Maze was taken up by Guildgates with the DGM expansion symbol and new art and flavor text. These Guildgates could be replaced by Maze's End or RTR block shocks with either the RTR or GTC expansion symbol and there was about a 1/24 chance of the shock.

A booster box with 6 Mythics is actually pretty good. The fact that they werent worth anything has more to do with the set as a whole. In the future you should examine the box before buying/opening it if you suspect it may have been repacked you cant just open it, get nothing good, and demand your money back. Besides opening boxes is a poor investment if youre looking for value cards anyway. Just buy the cards you want

Buying random boxes or packs to open as an "investment" is actually just gambling, and you are bound to lose eventually when gambling. Sometimes you just lose the first time you try though. No surprise to me really. Was the original wizards of the coast shrink wrap still on the box before opening it?

There is roughly a 1/24 chance of getting a shock in a dragon's maze pack this means that if the boxes were truly random there would be a 21.6% chance that a box wouldn't contain a shock. Because of the pseudo random nature of boxes it is probably closer to 5% percent but not unheard of. Of the cards that can be in the rare spot only three mythic rates and none of the cards are over $3. It sounds like you got an average box of rates with bad luck on the land slot
