Resplendent Angel price and seeing play.

Where do we see Resplendent Angel going in terms of price and will it see play outside of standard?

I can't see it getting any real modern play. And if it's not strong enough for modern, I have a hard time imagining it getting any vintage or legacy play. Maybe some EDH, but that would be it outside of standard.

Could we potentially see this in soul sisters?

Well, it doesn't have lifelink until turn 6 at the earliest. Before then, there are just better cards. And once you do hit 6, I would still probably prefer Archangel of Thune.

Before 6 mana, I would probably prefer Brimaz. To gain 5+ life in a turn in the early/mid game, you likely need either martyr, or genesis chamber, or forbidden orchard. Brimaz gives you a token almost all the time and survives more removal.

Apart from Standard and a little EDH, I think Resplendent Angel will see no play whatsoever in competitive. However, like what Lyra Dawnbringer is after the Pro Tour and Chainwhirler, I think it'll stay around $15-$20 as it is a very good card for casual players.

Which is good for me, as I can buy it.
