Anyone else think Scavenging Ooze is at a good price 6-7 bucks I feel is almost a bit cheap for that sucker what do u think? To high? To low? Or just right?

Considering how much play he sees in standard (Almost none) and in modern (a bit more, but still minimal), I think he's at a good spot. With Theros hinting at a reanimation strategy in the making (through Rescue from the Underworld and Whip of Erebos ), he /might/ be a decent spec option, but I think that he's good where he's at.

U think he sees no play in standard? I see him in every green deck granted that may not be a ton of the total decks but id say probably a fourth or fifth of the decks play green and have him frim my experience at least

Uhm Id say scooze sees a TON of play in modern. Every rock/jund build is running it. Before its reprint scooze was like 25$ because of its high demand in modern. And I see scooze in a ton of standard decks as well. Im saying 6-7$ for scavenging ooze is good for the players, but I feel like it should be worth more than that. If I was a newer player Id be buying my playset right now.

Scavenging Ooze saw 0 play in modern before the reprint because it was printed in a supplemental product and thus was not legal to play except for in actual Eternal formats.

Scavenging Ooze still doesn't see much modern play.

The... top ones?

He isn't usually in Hatebears, he's not a 4 of in Jund (I think he's usually just a 2 of. Could be wrong), he's not in GR Tron, and he's maybe a 1 or 2 of in pod.

Those are the top four decks that play green, so unless i'm missing something obvious, he's still not seeing much modern play.

Why do people who don't keep up with the Modern Meta insist on saying what does and does not see play?

Long term, I think the card is going to do well. Just as a snapshot - in the most recent modern GP, GP Prague just this last weekend, there's still 10 Scavenging Ooze spread across 4 decks in Top 8. 1/2 the Top 8 is not a weak showing. It's biggest knock is that it's never going to be a 4 of in any lists because of how it gets in the way of itself in multiple.

I think you could easily pick them up on the cheap during rotation and sit on them for a while. M14 wasn't that heavily opened, though I'm not sure how much more that promo version put into circulation.

Im seeing scooze in a ton of the lists on mtgtop8, usually as a 2 or 3 of. Like i said, its in most jund/rock decks and a lot of pod decks as well.

It is in the Standard G/R Monsters and G/R Devotion deck right now, which has been Top 8ing. Yes $6-$8 is a good price for it. I don't play modern so I can't speak for that format, but yes it is seeing play competitively in standard as a 3x.

it's price has dropped significantly since it was reprinted, that happens with most reprints, then the price slowly increases but never back to the same level.

It doesn't get play in Modern, what!? Scavenging Ooze is bound to rise but not significantly due to the huge supply from m14, Commander and the promo.

8vomit Before the reprint, he wasn't in modern, he was in legacy, mostly maverick, not sure what else had him then though. The reason being is the commander product he was in was not a modern legal set. Modern was happy to get him.
