Shocklands after rotation

I know the shocks are played in Modern, but do you expect them to become cheaper after they rotate out of Standard?
i agree. Expect them to drop slightly, but they won't drop much, and should retain good value because they are almost a necessity in modern.

As mentioned, any Standard player who doesn't play Modern (which is a lot) will be cashing them in, driving the price down for quite some time. If Wizards keeps its rage-boner going for Modern, though, they'll creep back up in value. I don't expect to see them back to $30 at any point, but they'll always retain some level of value.

I'm buying the original shocks now, I doubt they will flood, but I might sell off my extra rtr shocks (after a playset and what I already use in edh). In the end I'll hold on to at least one playset of each shock printing and a couple extra of the few I use in edh. I'm thinking most people will do this (except the hardcore standard players, looking to cash in and buy their new standard decks with that value).

I'll say what I've said on the other five discussions on exactly this subject: I don't expect the shocks to fall in value.
People have been getting smarter since SOM/ISD. They know that some cards are worth money and are playable in other formats. It's pretty obvious to almost everyone now that shocks have lasting value in Modern. With Modern growing as a format, and with more and more Standard players looking to break into that format, I actually don't think we'll see that many people dumping their shocks. At the very least, expect demand to keep pace with supply. Modern players will be grabbing shocks when they hit the market (in whatever quantity) come rotation.

On top of that, the shocks are already pretty low. I doubt they could even fall much further given how prolific they are.

For a while, yes because all the standard players will dump them if the player selling them doesn't play modern
