I've been offered an Elspeth, Sun's Champion for a Thoughtseize , should I do the trade?

Moved to Economics.

Do you need either card? What are you going to do with them?

Wondering if I should take the deal based on the long term price and projected use of both cards. Obviously Thoughtseize will be useful for a while, but I'm wondering about Elspeth, Sun's Champion longterm use/value.

Epochalyptik I don't really NEED either card. I have one Elspeth, Sun's Champion in a Mono-white deck. As far as Thoughtseize I could find a place for him in my black/blue/red deck.

You don't need to be able to play the cards; trading for purely economic reasons is absolutely fine.

Long-term, Elspeth, Sun's Champion is worth less than Thoughtseize . However, Elspeth is certainly in demand right now because of Standard. I'd probably stick with Thoughtseize unless you're guaranteed you can turn the Elspeth into something more useful or valuable.

Thoughtseize all day. Elspeth, Sun's Champion won't be played after she rotates out of standard. Thoughtseize is the one of the best if not the best card in standard. Stops everything except Mutavault for 1 mana. Plus once rotates out of standard, the price will likely rise again due to it being staple in so many decks in so many formats.

For me is a good trade. THoughtseize is a modern staple and Elspeth is a card with no play after rotation.

@ZSensei90: The post seems to be saying that PlainsAngels would be trading away the Thoughtseize and getting the Elspeth, Sun's Champion in return.
