Should I have sold my foil Liliana?

Alright, so I got incredibly lucky today; after going 2-2 with the only valuable card in my sealed pool being Kytheon, Hero of Akros Flip, I got one prize pack for my result. It had a foil Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip. I immediately sold it to a nearby vender for $45; however, I don't know if that was correct. What do you guys think?

dang, nice pull. Depending on how she does in Standard in the short term, her foil may rise- however in the long term, your choice was more than correct.

Lili "may" get better if we see free sacrifice mechanics in standard while she is still in standard. The card's that would most likely "help" her are cards like Nest Invader, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Children of Korlis and, Alchemist's Apprentice because they already provide a useful effect upon dying and you can make them die instantly which can help "gaurantee" that Liliana will flip.
With Return to Zendikar there is a chance we will see the Eldrazi Spawn again which would definately help flip Liliana supposing they were available in CMC 1 or 2 varieties and you could play them T2 and then Liliana T3.
Still we have no guarantee that you'll be able to force Liliana's transformation while playing her on curve with just 1 creature any time soon. This means she'll likely only transform before dying in a control heavy deck. In standard this means you'll be relying on burn spells, Bile Blight, Hero's Downfall and Ultimate Price and if you don't play either of those you're pretty much screwed. Either way she is unlikely to Flip against control. So with all of this taken into consideration I think it was fine to sell for that price.

Even if she does end up being an all star $45 is really high. I think you made the right choice.

As supply increases, and hype dies down, the price of the cards will drop. I don't see Lili being a format breaker, so you most likely made the right choice.
