I was lucky enough to pull masterpiece series Torrential Gearhulk earlier today. What do you guys think the short and long term value will be? Should I sell now?
PS. I know this is the wrong forum for this, but do you think it will see any competitive play? I'm thinking it could be a bomb in EDH but idk besides that.

I'm trying it out in my blue counterspell.deck EDH deck. It should be good there. If your deck has lots of instants in it, I say it functions like a Desertion where you know what creature you're getting already :)

I would sell now. Most of the standard playable masterpieces will drop.

Rudy with MTG Finance has an opinion that the Inventions will tank drastically in price, as will the rest of the value of Kaladesh, due to the vast amount of product being opened. I would say that the Inventions are at a high at the moment, so if you want to maximize profit and aren't utilizing the pretty card, sell or trade now. He's waiting until next year to pick them up and cancelled his order of 400 boxes of Kaladesh. This set will be much like Dragon's Maze, with all of the value being in chase Mythic rares and the Inventions.
For reference, the Expeditions are at an all time low and are worth picking up, as I predict them skyrocketing in price due to speculators buying out within a year or so.

The Gearhulks are the lowest of the set in my opinion, with Hangarback Walker also being one of the janky ones. Got the Lotus Petal out of a pack, that's one I'm definitely going to hang on to.

The cards that arent broken edh artifacts (so anything that isnt a mana rock) started pretty low and will end the samd or lower
