Snapcaster Price increase

Finally! with the banning of Deathrite Shaman in modern, the expected rise in price since Snapcaster Mage rotation is finally happening, it's nearly doubled its ever-present value of $20 to a healthy $35. If you can find them for ~$20 at an LGS or reputable site, I would recommend stocking up. And for those of you in my position, eagerly clutching your playset from back when they were standard, patiently waiting for their overall price to double from the initial $20 and make our initial investments back when we all acquired snaps in the first place, I would suggest holding them a little bit longer, the card rose $15 over the last 2 weeks, if sleeping through Econ 101 has taught me anything, if you own a stock on the rise, wait for it to plateau around $50-$60 right when modern season kicks off this year, every body an they mama will want em, and he'll command a brutal price.

Wouldn't be surprised to see his price plateauing around $80+ by next year.

I bought my playset for 100. ive already made a pretty healthy profit, and it might be greedy, but im waiting till they get to 60 before I sell!

I was going to buy them for 23$ a couple days ago... I'm shocked to see them increase so fast-.-... Is it still worth it to drop 120-130 for a playset? Do you think it's guaranteed to increase more?

if you need them to play id deffinetly pick them up now, the deck just won the protour and sees play all across the top 8, plus grand prix richmond is coming up which will drive price up even more with a good showing, i think the price will be around $140/set around GP time

after GP Richmond I think itll be closer to 160/playeset. it is such a powerful card, and now it is even more powerful. get your set while you can. there wont be a much better time to do it. is only going to keep climbing

@Epochalyptik I was hoping to get this thread on the homepage in the recent forum activity section, however it doesn't show up there, as far as there being a thread discussing snaps price already, this thread is about his most recent price spike, and that's all this thread is meant to be, not an ongoing thread where we all come back a few months later and reflect on it. So I disagree that this thread should have not been made. If you think it's truly a detriment to TO then by all means just delete this thread.
