It says the price of one pack is 6.99 but thats absurdly low considering some of the cards in the set. Why are they suddenly becoming devalued. I'm still relatively confused about this as I'm a bit new to the game. Please help.

Vintage Masters is an online-only set. Many of the cards in the set can never be printed again in paper Magic, but MtGO needs them to fill out the online Vintage and Legacy formats. It's kind of like the Online Masters Edition sets released a while ago. The prices of most online and paper cards don't match each other anyway, and the cards in Vintage Masters will be no different.

And since the sealed product is sold directly by wizards there is no greed from card shops to raise the price of a pack from msrp. Modern masters was supposed to be $6.99 too but since it was a paper product no one except retailers could buy they were able to price gouge.

You have to go through a filter page to ask a question in the Q&A. That page specifies that the Q&A is for rules questions only. Your non-rules question has been moved to the appropriate forum.

If they every make a new rarity level, I hope they call it Stupid Rare.

From an economics standpoint, I'm planning to sink some $$$ into sealed packs and just never open them. They're selling them up until Khans is released and then never again, so this is one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to buy "packs" of what is basically beta mixed with Arabian Nights. They have nowhere to go but up in value in the future.
