So, Tasugir... Hold onto, or sell?

Tasigur, the Golden Fang was proven to be a great card in both standard and modern, as he's a one black 4/5 essentially.

My question is such:

Do I start buying a ton now, and will they increase - or do I sell my foil and non-foils now, because they'll drop.

I understand he could be like the fetch lands, and rise after they rotate out of standard, but I'm unsure, and would love Tappedout's opinion on the subject.

I believe that you should dump them now then get some back right as they rotate because they'll drop then go back up as long as junk remains a thing in modern

He's probably pretty close to his peak right now, and he will certainly rise in price once he rotates. Abzan isn't going anywhere in Modern unless an unbanning/banning hoses it, which is unlikely.

He will likely be stable for a while, hovering between $13 and $15, but settling as low as $10 or $11 in other places. I think right now is a good time to pick him up, and I don't see him rising due to rotation and the stoppage of FRF printings for at least 18 months. He's a money card -- make no mistake. I don't think there's a great cost to selling him now, you aren't going to lose out on big gains by doing so. Basically, the price is stable for the foreseeable future; do as you please.

i wouldnt spend cash on them, if you can trade for them yes

If you have foils, keep them. Taz sees Modern and Legacy play as a 1-2x of. Because he sees play outside of Standard, he will hold a stable value once he rotates, and eventually rise, especially given play in Tier One deck archetypes.

If you trade him, trade into shocks and fetches.

I see him going up pretty high. He is worth stocking up on now.

Wait 1-2 months. Then check back in and see where the price is.

I don't see why you would want to sell him, everyone is calling him tarmogoyf 2.0 and I would have to agree. I believe he is the next big thing in modern and although it may be a while from now I bet his price will rise dramatically

seuvius you mean Tasigoyf.

Tasigur isn't Tarmogoyf 2.0... He's Tarmogoyf 1.5.

lol Tasigoyf made he'll be reprinted in MM15?

Well jokes aside I don't think his price is going to fall much. His usability in control decks is too stronk
