Yeah, apparently there was a huge buyout and 8th edition Ensnaring Bridges are now $45 and 7th edition are $35-40. Do you think this will last? I just finished buying my playset, so I'm fine with it staying high. I just want to know how long you think it will stay high.

Fucking hell, I knew I should have bought more when they were $20 each... Hindsight's 20/20 though.

I think it's hype from that Red control list that people were getting excited about.

I knew this was going to happen. 8Rack, Lantern Control, and Free Win Red/Free Win Twin all use it.

Ancient Grudge beats it and the decks it get's played in pretty hard. Perhaps a slight meta shift away from Stony Silence being the only artifact hate in SBs is in order.

It will go back down. Modern is a harsh format for control decks, and only control decks are looking at this card, and not very... "meta" control decks either. Assuming any of these decks can survive the aggro hordes, they also have to find a way to beat Tron who typically dominates such matchups.

It's also used in some legacy decks, one-two of in MUD sideboard and a four of in Painter. Also in any deck trying to beat Sneak n Show. But honestly that's prob not what caused the spike. I can see this dropping back down to low thirties/high twenties, but don't think they'll go back down to actual $20. It's an awesome card that people just love to have, regardless of if they're using it, and it's been underprinted.

nah, it wont last. it spiked because of recent articles on crappy casual decks like 8rack and free red win, which noobs think are any good for competitive play. sometime soon the noobs will get tired of losing every non-casual game with that decks, get rid of the copies of bridge and cry about the money they wasted.
