I want to pick up a Soulfire Grand Master playset but am not in any rush. Do you think it'll drop post rotation?

Same thing with Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, will it drop at all?

yeah both will drop quite a bit I believe.

Ugin won't drop much seeing as it's a colorless PW that's seeing play in Modern Tron. SGM on the other hand, will be a $3-5 mythic on rotation. It's not really seeing play anywhere, but it's a Casual bomb.

Soulfire Grand Master will drop post rotation since it's almost exclusively seeing Standard play. It will eventually rebound some based on being a mythic from a small set, so it was opened less than Khans and Dragons.

Ugin, the Spirit Dragon will drop some, but not nearly as much - if at all. It's seeing more play outside of Standard right now, so there's little chance the market will flood when combined with being in smaller supply. It's basically a Voice of Resurgence, but it goes in every EDH deck and has a dedicated Modern spot.

Yea I think 20-something is my buy point for Ugin.

& cool, I'll wait to pick some Soulfire Grand Master up.

I also picked up a Monastery Mentor playset up recently. How do you guys feel about Mentor? Dropping coming rotation or not?

Ugin sees play as a 1-2 of in tron, both GR and mono U. He's also reasonably popular in edh. That being said, his price is largely due to standard. I can't see him breaking 30, ever.

Soulfire is just gonna keep going down, as it sees no play in any eternal format

If I had to guess at mentor, I guess stay steady? Legacy staple that sees fringe play in modern. Could go either way
